Organization Inspiration.

The semester is starting next week. In four days, I return to work as the adviser to a college newspaper. No more days of lounging with a glass of apple juice. No more frivolous days spent shopping — or ogling Edward Cullen or the Supernatural boys. The lazy, hazy days of summer are about to turn into the harried chills of fall.

That means I need to get in gear and get organized. Honestly, I’m in need of an organizational makeover. I’m hoping these photos will give me the push I need. Tell me: What do you do to get – and stay – organized?

xoxo,

Love, love, LOVE this post… the images are inspiring. Although the kids started school this week, I still have almost nothing crossed off my "to do" list. I'm *way* behind on my own learning curve.

i swear i have some sort of learning disability when it comes to organizing. i just have no common sense and often times end up just created tons of "miscellaneous" drawers/baskets/rooms. oops.

I love the globes! That's so cool.

And…lists. Lots of lists help me organize.

I am pretty terrible at staying perfectly organized. I start off amazing with things in their place and all color co-ordinated but once I actually start working in the space it turns into a clutter…and I kind of like it 🙂

Sometimes I think we're selective in what we're organized about. Maybe it's just we choose our favorite things to keep organized and other things fall?

Like my blog? Sometimes I think I'm too organized with it… 🙂

I think you're on the right lines already – if you can make the organisation look pretty then it becomes much more fun. I definitely finding doing the filing or whatever is much less of a chore if it's in pretty binders.

And lists. I love making lists then crossing things off as I do them 🙂

I am a organization freak. We are currently packing our apartment to move into the house we just bought and everytime I walk in the door I have to take a deep breath.

I'm a box checker by nature. It does wonders for my organizational skills.

Organizing makes me so happy, but yet I have so much trouble getting motivated to actually do it… looking through an Ikea catalog gets me inspired sometimes.

Those teapots shelves are adorable. Except mine would be filled with books! I have terrible organizational skills – at least once a month I promise myself I'll re-organize and end up creating another random drawer or cabinet of stuff I can't seem to throw away. *sigh*

hmmm.. I believe in an organized mess. Then again, I seem to lose practically everything in a matter of seconds. I guess my organizational advice may not be as helpful as I intended. 🙂

Oooo Thank you for posting this! I've been trying so desperately to organize things but my bedroom is still a catastrophe!! But in the drawers there's a hint of oh i actually now where things are. I've been buying these large photo boxes to organize and put stuff in.

What I do to keep motivated is, I put on a video that I know I can listen to it and still know whats going on and just clean til it's over. hehe.

    Love your blog!! =)

Love these photos! So organization inspiring.

What do I do? Hm…I guess I just dump it all on the floor, get rid of what I don't need, keep what I do and they make it all pretty and organized. Haha, helpful I know.
