A reader, Polly, sent me this email last week about my blog and columns. She writes:
I’m a longterm patient of post-viral M.E., aka myalgic encephalomyelitis, and fibromyalgia, two chronic illnesses that sideline me from what feel like a lot of 20something fun and experiences. But I’ve not had to endure the surgeries or obstacles you have. Thank you so much for reminding me to be grateful for the good days, when I feel like a normal person, and to not feel sorry for myself on the bad days. And, moreover, to write without fear.
You rock, girl.
Cheers,
Polly
This is why I’m not afraid to tell my story and be brutally honest. Always. Why should you ever be afraid of who you are? SHOUT IT TO THE WORLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
