Family Paintings – Part I

It wasn’t until my grandmother was well into her forties that she realized one of her hidden talents. With her children at school during the day, she decided to take an oil painting class. What started as an innocent hobby quickly turned into a passion. Before long, she’d spend hours with a paint brush in hand, bringing life to a dull white canvass.

I snapped some photos of her paintings…look for more photos tomorrow.

Doesn’t that inspire you to do ANYTHING at ANY AGE??

Number one is so my favorite. It makes me long for a happy home, husband, and family in the future. What talent! 🙂

I taught my Aunt to paint, when she became a widow.
She never remarried, but she painted with love. I felt like was a "matchmaker" and started a fire with paint.
    She painted every day.
I miss her. I love people who are late bloomers.
Your grandmother has got talent! Love her paintings.
    Please tell her so…

So About What I Said is a daily blog that covers relationships, disabilities, lifestyle and pop culture. I love to laugh and have been known to overshare. I also have an unabashed obsession with pop music, polo shirts, and PEZ dispensers. Read more...
