I’m proud to say that my awkwardness and pure dorkiness was out in full force this afternoon. As is usually the case on a lovely Friday afternoon, I was cruising the blog circuit and reading some of the comments on my own blog that had piled up over the week (is there anything that doesn’t pile up during the week?). I began reading the comments and saw a couple readers congratulate me on being a Blog of Note today.
“Hmm,” I thought. “They must have me confused with someone else. Weird.”
Then I did a little investigating into the matter, as any good and honest journalist should. I found this:
THANK YOU!!!!!! THANK YOU!!!!!! THANK YOU!!!!!! I never imagined when I started this blog last November that anyone would actually read it. Heck, I can’t even get my mom to read it – I’m being completely serious here. She refuses to read it, claiming it’s “TMI.”
Anyway, just wanted to thanks and I’ve really, really all the blogs I’ve read out there!!

I, for one, am actually GLAD that MY Mom (may she now 'n forever rest in peace) never read MY blog (cuz if she DID she probably woulda keeled over a helluva long time ago….and it certainly wouldn'ta been due to alzheimers).
So, if ya write anything close to what *I* write, just look at it as a kinda blessin' in disguise.
Besides, yer Mom's probably right….it probably IS TMI for a Mom to deal with.
Remember: when it comes to Moms, some things are just best left unsaid/unread.
