Man Candy Monday

I admit no shame in my love for Cosmo magazine’s man candy page. Actually, it’s the first page I flip to every month. Staring back at me is beautiful photo of a man, obviously, and a short bio including such pressing need-to-know info as the first time he had his heart broken, his idea of a perfect date or his best qualities.

It’s enough to make me squeal with “AWWWWWW,” which I usually do. My sister just rolls her eyes at me.

So in honor of one of my favorite magazines, I’ve declared ever Monday as Man Candy Day! We can ohh and ahh at the most handsome men from around the world — men who are charming, sensitive, have a wicked sense of humoor and are of course just plain gorgeous. Why? Because everyone needs a little man candy in their diet.

This week, the prize goes to………..

DR. FRASIER CRANE AND DR. NILES CRANE

If you knew me, you could probably have guessed I’d pick these two (as the episode “Dinner Party” tells us, “if you get one, you get that other one,” so it’s only natural I’d put them together. Because as intriguing and handsome (and loveably pompous) as they are alone, they’re all sorts of goodness together. Why not have ONE when you can have TWO!!!

My likes about Frasier: He never learns from his mistakes, has an over-inflated ego that is sort of sexy and boasts a couch that is an exact replica of the one Coco Chanel had in her Paris atelier

My likes about Niles: He dresses impeccably, has a taste for fine cheeses, woes women with his collections and loved from afar for EIGHT long years and finally found the courage to tell the person (Daphne) that he was in love with her. This last quality gives me hope for my own love life.

AMEN.

Frasier is my nightly ritual. I heart Niles too!

So About What I Said is a daily blog that covers relationships, disabilities, lifestyle and pop culture. I love to laugh and have been known to overshare. I also have an unabashed obsession with pop music, polo shirts, and PEZ dispensers. Read more...
