Look at what goodies Gawker has for us lovelorn today. Apparently, Burt Goldman, a self-described “American Monk” and author, is branching out of the Monk business (maybe he got too tired of having all that time on his hands?) and into the Internet fame biz. He’s not doing too shabby either: He has 1,166 Facebook friends and 88,390 subscribers to his blog. All that, and the man just turned 81! FANTASTIC!

I didn’t even know monks had access to computers, but this gets me excited about what the future could hold. Am I the only one who wants Sister Wendy to get a blog. You know, the lady who took us on tours of Europe, narrating in her class English accent…
