Friday nights & being single…..?

It’s safe to say I’ve had plenty of these. Those nights when you imagine couples chatting and laughing over dinner or flirting on the dance floor until 2 a.m., “oohhing” and “aahhing” over how much they have in common.

Me? I’m usually a homebody on Friday night, curled up on the couch watching Frasier. I often wonder what it is other singles do on Fridays, the unofficial date night of the week?

I’d love to hear what you do. Do you hang out with your friends? Curl up in bed with a good book — and maybe even a little ice cream? I hear ice cream can cure anything, even relationship (or lack thereof) blues. Or do you slip on your favorite dress and go shopping, wondering if you’ll meet that special someone in the check-out line?

Write to me and let me know — remember, us single folks have to stick together now!

xoxo,
Mel

Well… I like to bake pastries and then just give it to whoever isn't in a good mood.

Mary Poppins was right about the spoonfull of sugar, I think.

So About What I Said is a daily blog that covers relationships, disabilities, lifestyle and pop culture. I love to laugh and have been known to overshare. I also have an unabashed obsession with pop music, polo shirts, and PEZ dispensers. Read more...
